Campaign Planning

Goal: BBYO, the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement in the world, needed to develop plans for their centennial anniversary to engage alumni, donors, parents, and teens.

Strategy: We led campaign strategic planning, conducted focus groups and individual stakeholder interviews, and analyzed data for a survey that was distributed to 200,000 constituents.

Results: We developed a comprehensive engagement plan for BBYO’s 100th anniversary activities, identified new major gift donors and priority areas to focus on, as well as built trust and relationships with significant stakeholders.

As follow on, Hocking Leadership was retained to build the infrastructure for a comprehensive alumni engagement program for the organization’s 500,000 global alumni.

Shanna brought in new ideas and has pushed us to look at things differently than we have in the past. She gives real guidance and her intuition is always right on. She’s extremely good at reading people. Because of our work together we’ve been able to see so many of her strengths (and there are many!): leadership development, fundraising, data analysis, coaching, business planning — we’ve benefited from so many sides of her. She’s kind, smart, a strong female leader, and she’s not afraid to take risks and try new things. It’s been fun working with her.”
